Last month, VUB and Resolia partners presented to the Citizens4PED consortium their works and findings regarding the optimisation tool developed to optimise the design of a PED energy center, as part of the extended WP3 scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When aiming at transforming a neighbourhood into a Positive Energy District, many techno-energetic options may flood on the stakeholders table, such as possible energy sources, energy distribution options or personal users preferences, often leading to high complexity into choosing the right option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We developed this \u00ab\u00a0Pareto optimisation tool\u00a0\u00bb to help stakeholders choosing amongst various techno-energetic possibilities, with a clear view on the impact of each choice that they are going to make, depending on their financial capabilities and the objectives they want to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A scientific paper describing the developed tool has been submitted to the international, peer-reviewed journal Energies<\/strong>, and has been published in march 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is an extract of the preliminary results presented.
